Gurdwara Shaheed Marag is situated on outskirts of the village of Satrina (also pronounced Satarna), in Rafiabad tehsil of Baramulla district. It is at a distance of approx. 16km by road from Baramulla railway station via the Baramulla-Panzla road, or 20km via Baramulla-Handwara highway. 

The Rafiabad tehsil has approximately 77 villages or towns.
